You Make Me Feel Brand New

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.  (Ephesians 4:22-24)

So much has changed for the better in my life over the past ten years that it's almost hard to look back on my former ways of thinking and living.  Yet there is still much for me to improve upon and I am constantly working on areas of my life with God's guidance that need to be changed.

People should be able to see a difference between Christians and Non-Christians by the way that we live.  Too often, the lines are blurred and I can play a pretty convincing role of just fitting in with the "status-quo."  We are to live as children of light, and leave behind our former lives of sin.  It doesn't mean that we will always conduct our lives beyond reproach, but we are equipped with the tools we need to succeed and live the Christ-centered life.

As you look back over last year, do you see a process of change for the better in your thoughts, attitudes, and actions?  Although change may be slow and not instant, you can trust God to change you.
