Bang and Blame

The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."  (Genesis 3:12)

A hard lesson to learn is accepting the blame, when things go wrong and you are ultimately at fault.  It's human tendency to point the finger at someone else for your mishaps; this goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden.

When God asked Adam what he had done, Adam immediately blamed Eve for giving him the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Life.  When God asked Eve, she blamed it on the serpent..

The next time you experience failure, try to determine why you failed instead of who was at fault.  If you look at your failures objectively, you can often find ways to improve and turn failure into success and learn valuable lessons for the future.

To reach your potential, you must continually improve yourself and that's impossible to do if you are not willing to take responsibility for your actions.
