Putting The Pieces Together

You have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. (Colossians 2:10)

My son, Elliott, and I were putting together a jigsaw puzzle yesterday afternoon and we got all the way to the end and were missing the final piece. How annoying!?! While it's easily one of my pet peeves, Elliott could really care less.  Our lives are very similar to putting together a puzzle sometimes.  Too often, we look for completeness in the wrong places.  If only we lost a little weight and were more fit, we'd be more attractive and accepted.  If only we had this nice luxury car and new item for our house, we'd be one upping our friends and neighbors.

The problem with this rationale is that apart from Christ, we will never find that last piece of the puzzle that makes us complete.  When we know Jesus Christ, we don't need to seek God by means that are unbiblical. Christ alone holds the answers to the true meaning of life, because He is life.

No Christian needs anything in addition to what Christ has provided to be saved. We are complete in Him!
