Sometimes Salvation

But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.  (James 1:6)

What is your perception of God?  Do you see Him as some rugged and judgmental Spirit in the sky?  Do you trust Him and take Him at His Word?  Have you ever doubted that He would seriously answer your prayers?

To believe and not doubt means to not only believe in the existence of God, but also trusting in His loving care.  This should also include relying solely on God when we pray, expecting Him to hear and answer us according to His perfect will.  He will not answer every single request or selfish petition, but we must have confidence that He is who He says He is.  He loves each one of us and is never too busy to listen to our individual prayers.

Praise His Holy name!!
