Family Man

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in His ways.  You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.  Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons like olive shoots around your table.  Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord.  (Psalm 128:1-4)

Well, it was pretty quiet around the house this past week; my family went to Atlanta to visit relatives and I was a bachelor for the past several days.  It was great to have some peace and quiet, but soon after, I really began to miss everyone.  It's easy to take for granted the day to day chaos that comes from having children, but I am learning to surrender and let God be the head of the Fisher family instead of myself.

A good family life comes from following God.  The values outlined in His Word are integrity, honesty, prayer, and last but not least, love.  Reading and obeying God's Word is a good place to start to make your family all that it should be.  Think of His Word as a survival guide or instruction manual for a successful marriage and home life!
