The Lifting

Do you not know? Have you not heard?  The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.  He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.  (Isaiah 40:28-31)

After two full weeks with my wife going back to work and both boys in daycare full time, sleep is a precious commodity in our home.  Now on a lean schedule, I always attempt to multi-task with my iPhone, iPad, Macbook, etc. and do more and more things at the same time, but just end up feeling exhausted.  If you think about it, when we attempt to do anything without God's supernatural power, we can expect the same feelings and weariness.

When we try to do things on our own, we are limited by our own strength and limits. It's when we humble ourselves and depend on the Lord for His strength, that we really can soar on His power.  It's like tapping into a never ending energy source!

Let go and let God lift you up so that you too can soar on the wings of eagles!
