He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble.  Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.  (Isaiah 58:10)

As Christmas quickly approaches, it's hard not to think about people who didn't have money to spend at retail stores early in the wee hours of the morning on Black Friday.  There are so many people in our local community that are living day to day on a street or depending on the warmth and generosity of a shelter for food and their basic needs.

God promises that those who help the needy will be rewarded, both in this life and the next.  God has compassion for the poor and so should His followers.

Helping those less fortunate is not just an obligation, but a privilege that will bring great joy!
