Under Pressure

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.  (Psalm 46:1-3)

I really enjoy this time of the year.  It's been particularly nice here in Knoxville, despite being cold, and all of our Christmas decorations are up, lights on many houses, the stores are packed with Christmas shoppers, and people are starting to prepare for the birth of Christ. Some people, find the Christmas season very stressful.  Decorating, buying presents, dealing with family, numerous parties and social functions can cause more tension than normal.

No matter what it is that is causing "stress" in your life, God is our rock and refuge during times of anxiety. You can find peace in our loving God's arms.  He is steadfast in always present during times of trouble.  If you are having difficulties during this season, turn over your worries to Him and allow Him to take your burdens.
