Good Advices

For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us.  The government will rest on His shoulders.  And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  (Isaiah 9:6)

I am not ashamed to admit that we have encountered difficulties over the course of our five years of marriage and have sought the advice of a marriage counselor.  Many people feel like failures because they seek outside advice in their marriages, but for us, we found it valuable and helpful for us to make it through some tough times.

If you are fortunate, you may have someone in your life that you can depend on for good advice; a parent, co-worker, friend, or neighbor.  You are even more blessed when the person is wise, loving and caring in a godly way.

Jesus wants to be that type of counselor in each of our lives as well.  His advice is always timely, loving, and perfect-the kind that will last not only through this lifetime but into eternity!  What a friend we have in Jesus!
