Heart of Gold

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.  (Colossians 3:4)

For those of you that have children or are even around any for a short amount of time, sharing is a hard lesson to teach.  It's funny that Elliott never seems to want to play with the toys in the toy box until another child is over at the house and shows the least bit of interest.  That particular toy becomes the only that Elliott wants to play with and such is life for a child.

As adults, we really aren't too different from children, if you think about it.  We all enjoy receiving more than we do giving; it's human nature.  We all look after ourselves first and then others (or sadly, not at all.)  God calls us to share every available resource we have with others; our time, money, talents, faith, and love.

God loved each of us to share His only beloved Son with all of us; the least we could do during this Christmas season is to realize how blessed we are by what God has shared with us and share that blessing with other people.  The benefits of giving far outweigh the temporary and fleeting satisfaction of receiving!
