Dependin' On You

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you.  He will not rebuke you for asking.  (James 1:5)

Being a typical male, I refuse to listen to my wife's input when we are lost while driving in the car.  It must be a "guy thing," but men don't like to stop and ask for directions.  Chalk it up as pride or plain stubbornness, but we would rather drive around and be lost for hours rather than pull over and ask for help.

Maybe this gives us some insight as to why so many people refuse to seek God's guidance in their lives.  We all know we should probably pick up the Good Book more often, but many of us neglect to even pick up the Bible off the bookshelf in our houses.

When we realize the Bible is not just a group of stories, but a guide for our lives, we begin to understand the importance of seeking God's Word and applying it in our lives.  Don't be the stubborn person that lives life aimlessly, stop and ask for direction from God.
