Humility

I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word. (Isaiah 66:2)

It baffles me how we seem to trust God with the "big things" in life, but tend to want to resume control on all of the smaller details of life.  Humility is a form of brokenness in which you realize that you can not control or fix everything that happens to you.

We had quite a scare last week with our newborn and this week, we are back at home trying to figure out a routine complete with petty arguments and the stress that all parents experience.

We must acknowledge our dependence on God with ALL of our needs and problems, big and small.  This goes against everything that society teaches, but you will be blessed in your vulnerability when you do so.
