All That You Can't Leave Behind

Do not be overawed when a man grows rich, when the splendor of his house increases; for he will take nothing with him when he dies, his splendor will not descend with him. (Psalm 49:16-17)

While on our way to a concert the other day, I couldn't help but notice the large mansions in the neighborhood that surrounds Chastain Park.  My wife and I daydreamed a bit and then a Porsche passed by, immediately shifting my focus from the large houses to an exotic sports car!

It is okay to daydream and it's fine to have a mansion and a Porsche.  We need to remember that the rich and the poor will all have something similar when they die-everything they own will be left behind on this earth!  The only thing that we can take with us is our eternal inheritance; all that we have invested in other people's lives.  If we are to have treasure in heaven, we must place our faith in God and utilize our resources for the good of His kingdom.

Where are you investing the most??  Place your investments where they really count...
