The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers. (1 Peter 3:12)
Have you ever tried to carry on a conversation with someone who is in another room or on the opposite side of the house? It's pretty difficult and frustrating. I know it's one of my pet peeves and it often leads to a misunderstanding between me and Alicia. Do you often feel that God is far away when you say your prayers to Him?
When facing adversity or difficulties, thinking about our Heavenly Father brings a person peace. It's when we focus on things other than God that we become stressed and start to worry with anxiety. When we focus on God, we must see Him right in the thick of our problem, standing with us and not off in some distant place.
It's easy to see God in the future...as we draw our last breath or something more of a milestone than our everyday life, but trust me, He is present with us every moment of every day on our journey.
