Flashlight

I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the right paths.  (Proverbs 4:11)

Just like my son, I used to be scared of the dark when I was a child.  He is now four years old, but still sleeps with a lamp on during the night.  In the same way that we cannot see in the dark, we also cannot clearly see every aspect of our life, but God has no problem seeing the totality of our lives.  He knows our every thought and knows us inside and out.   God also knows our past, our present and what’s going to happen to us in the future.

He also knows our experiences, natural talents, and our spiritual gifts, so He knows the problems we are facing now and what we are called to do.  We can go to our family members and friends for guidance and what steps to take, but there honestly is no one better qualified to guide us than our loving Father.

The more we understand God’s perspective, the stronger our ability to discern the path we are to take in this life, the way a light illuminates a dark room.
