The Lord detests the use of dishonest scales, but He delights in accurate weights. (Proverbs 11:1)
As a work in progress and in the spirit of learning something new every day, I can say that honesty is a vital and essential part of my marriage. When I reflect on our past disagreements, many of them were caused by a breakdown in communication and trust.
It is impossible for truth and justice to be carried out in any relationship without honesty. If you can't trust your family members and friends, your relationships will begin to fail because of distrust and deceit.
Honesty, as difficult as it is at times, will enrich and build lasting relationships, not to forget, God delights in those who are honest and trustworthy.
