The Power of Equality

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.  And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.  Romans 3:22

There are few things in life other than, say, oxygen, that are available to all people. The great thing about God is that salvation is available to all people.

It makes no difference to God what sins you have committed.  It does not matter who you are.  God loves all people equally and wants each one of us to be saved and live with him eternally in heaven.

When we decide that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and we ask for forgiveness of our sins, we are transformed into a new creation.  In God's eyes we become clean and pure again, just like everyone who believes.

We must share this with all people and love them into a relationship with Christ, to expand God's kingdom on this earth.

Amazing Grace

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  Romans 10:13

Just like all of his birthdays since we have lived in Knoxville, Elliott once again got to milk his seventh birthday over an extended period of time this year...

To start the month of June off, one set of Elliott's grandparents sent him a dirt bike for an early birthday gift.  On the day of his birthday, his aunt and cousin came to town, but Elliott was sick with strep, so his birthday party was postponed. Later that same week, another set of grandparents came to town and presented Elliott with a motorized scooter.  Finally, this week, Elliott had his birthday party on Monday and then Tuesday, left for the beach with Alicia and Elijah for a week.

Despite all of celebration and the gifts he has already received, Elliott still has some expectation of receiving a gift each time he sees another family member or friend.

To some extent, we are all childish with the gifts we expect to receive, but there is one gift that is given freely to each one of us-the perfect gift-the gift of God's grace.

There is nothing you need to do to receive this gift other than calling the name of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and accepting that His death on the cross is that which saves you from sin.

If you haven't accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, what are you waiting for?
