True Faith

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  Hebrews 11:1

Jesus gave us all blessed assurance and promise about our prayers when He stated: 'Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

Jesus made this statement to assure each of us that the new covenant is true-the way to Kingdom is based on faith, which is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we don't see.

Whatever you ask for, you must believe that you have received it.  Sometimes, don't be surprised if you don't see it, we could not have faith if we did.  We only have sight and vision, but God honors those who have faith.  He will always keep His promises to us and will bless those who trust Him with certainty!

Sometimes You Can't Make It Own Your Own

Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you.  He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.  Psalm 55:22

Our youngest son, Elijah, caught the stomach bug from his older brother two weeks ago, which has caused him to feel bad, be irritable, and has ultimately altered his diet and sleep patterns.  It’s different when a younger child gets sick as opposed to a teenager or adult, because with their limited vocabulary, a young child simply cannot articulate their symptoms clearly, so we as parents have to guess what is bothering them...

Our Loving Father works much in the same way.  He cares for us and helps us whenever we ask Him for help.  When we bring our burdens to God through prayer, we will experience freedom from our worries and anxieties because we know He has listened to our cares.

God reassures us through His Word and His never-ending love and grace.  Praise be to God!
