Everywhere I Go

I look up toward the hills.  From where does my help come?  My help comes from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth!  He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.  Psalm 121:1-3

Having almost every variation of Apple gadget known to man, including an iPhone, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iPod Classic, Apple TV, Apple Watch, etc. I am still amazed at how much I am able to accomplish ‘on the go.’  If I want to watch a movie or television show, I can stream it online.  I do most of my banking online through an application.  My medical insurance carrier now has an application and I can view my claims and access my ID Card through a their new app.   I have access to most of my music library through the iCloud at all times, and I can stay connected at work through email and by phone.  Of course, one of the greatest marvels of the technological age is Pokémon Go…I am beyond addicted and yes, I still play daily.  While all of this is certainly cool, having God with us at all times is even cooler.

In fact, our Loving Father is not limited by space or time; He inhabits the hearts of everyone who believe in Him.  He is not restricted by buildings or places of worship; He is with us without a Wi-Fi connection or even without electricity, for that matter.

Ponder this for a moment-God is with us everywhere that we go and He is with us in everything we do.  No matter where we go or what we are doing, God is with us at ALL times!  Praise His holy name!

Alone

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness-trusts me and relies on Me, knowing that I will never forsake him. Psalm 91:14

Despite the many people I know and am close with, there a occasions when I simply feel alone.  I am sure that I am not the only person who ever feels this way, but God wants us to know that we are never alone.

Satan does his best to make us feel isolated and alone, but we are not.  Satan also does everything in his power to make us believe that no one else understands how we feel, but that too is also a lie.  Sometimes the enemy will send someone into your life that is wrong for you, such as an attractive man/woman that shows you attention when you are the most vulnerable and experiencing difficulties with your spouse.  Again, it's only another deception and a trap set to destroy your marriage.

God is always with us and He can relate to any and everything we can possibly experience in our lives.  As children of God, we can all claim His wonderful promises.  No matter what you are facing or how lonely you may feel, take God at His word and know that you are never alone.

God is good and faithful and he will never leave your side.

Vacation

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28

It’s been a short, but fairly busy week for me and my family and as we just got back from an enjoyable long weekend in the Blue Ridge mountains.  It would be safe to say that the trip was great but everyone in my household is just worn out.

All of the extra stress that comes along with a vacation in addition to the normal responsibilities of my job have left me with very little peace.  I know that I will be fine in a couple of days, but I cannot help but feel stressed.

Through the Cross, God has made Himself available to us at ALL times.  Jesus invites us to come into the presence of God to find the grace, mercy, and peace that we so desperately need.  We need no middle-man to speak to God either; it's as simple as getting on our knees to pray.  God is always there and ready to listen to your inner most groaning and moaning.

God loves you and is available to you whenever you need Him...

By Your Side

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.  So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.  Psalm 46:1-2

Our cable service went out last Thursday unexpectedly and it was not until Monday that we had our service restored.  It was kind of weird not to be able to watch television, but it was also a nice change of pace not to hear the foolish bickering of politicians and the constant reaffirmation that we live in a broken world, which is evident when watching reality TV or even the news.

It is when we recognize that sin has corrupted this world that we are no longer surprised or overwhelmed by all of the troubles you see in the world.  You see, God is greater than any problem or threat that we can ever face in our lifetime.

We must constantly ask God to stay close to us at all times.  Jesus promises us that we will face certain troubles during our lifetime, but He also promises that to always comfort us and help us when we are afraid.

Praise be to God!!
